PRN- Occupational Therapist - Rehabilitation
Under the general direction of the Director of Physical Rehabilitation and Staff Physical Therapist, the Occupational Therapist is responsible for the evaluation, planning, directing and administering of occupational therapy modalities of treatment as prescribed by a licensed physician. Administers treatments and occupational agents as prescribed by a referring physician in an effort to restore function and prevent disability following injury, disease or physical disability i.e.Stroke, spinal cord injury, congenital deformity, amputation, brain injury, neurological disorder, hip fractures, burns, bilateral hip and knee replacements, activity polyarticular rheumatoid arthritis and seronegative arthropathies, major multiple traumas, systemic vasculidities with joint inflammation, severe or advanced osteoarthritis and other debilities. Assists patients to reach their maximum performance and level of functioning, while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities.
Experience, Education & Skills REQUIRED:
- Current registration with the Texas Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners.
- Graduate from an approved school of Occupational Therapy.
- Three or more years of previous experience in all aspects of occupational therapy.
- Current CPR certification.
