Medical Technologist Lab

This position is subject to the COVID-19 Vaccination Policy for Steward Health Care Workforce. Employees in this position will be required to provide adequate proof of vaccination for COVID-19 by an FDA-approved vaccine prior to starting work. POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the general supervision of the Laboratory Director and the direct supervision of the Medical Technologist Supervisor, the Medical Technologist provides clinical laboratory services to patients in accordance with accepted practices and Departmental and Hospital standards of care.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

B.A. or B.S. degree in science field with graduation from an accredited Medical Technologist program OR shall have completed a 50-week US MLT training program AND shall have completed a minimum of 10 years of clinical laboratory experience.

MT National certification (i.e. ASCP or equivalent) is preferred or MLT certification with a minimum of 10 years’ lab experience.
