Director, Respiratory Therapy
Under the general supervision of the Chief Operating Officer, and the general direction of the Medical Director of Cardiopulmonary, the Director of Cardiopulmonary is responsible for the overall operation of the Cardiopulmonary Department. The Cardiopulmonary Director Responsible for the technical operation, concerning personnel skills and equipment. Utilizing effective planning, organizing and coordinating mechanisms, ensures that efficient and effective patient care services are provided while enhancing attainment of individual personnel and hospital objectives. The Cardiopulmonary Director will participate as part of the hospital team to support and promote Southwest General Hospital’s mission and goals
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
A. Graduate of AMA-approved school of Respiratory Therapy preferred.
B. Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with a current Respiratory Care Practitioner license in the State of Texas.
C. Current CPR certification with ACLS and NRP required.
D. Minimum of six (6) years of managerial experience; minimum of one years experience in PFT, ABG, critical care and neonatal preferred.
